Garbine Muguruza: The key to success in Indian Wells will be adaptation
Spaniard Garbin Muguruza talked about her preparations for the tournament in Indian Wells, which is held in the California desert.
“The key to success is adaptation, because the conditions are a little bit different there. Even though I’ll have to adjust quickly to the details, I feel like I’m going there on a wave of good matches. The balls are flying very fast there, it’s hot on the court. Nevertheless, I feel good in Indian Wells, I made it to the quarterfinals a couple of times.
All those big tournaments start slow and it’s always hard to make it through the first rounds. And it doesn’t get easier after that because it’s a big draw and it’s a long tournament,” the WTA Press Service quotes Muguruza as saying.
