Garbine Muguruza won the tournament in Chicago
Garbine Muguruza of Spain beat Ones Jaber of Tunisia 3/6, 6/3, 6/0 in the finals.
The match lasted one hour and 44 minutes. Ninth-ranked Garbine, 28, broke six times and had two aces, hitting four service errors. The 27-year-old Ones, ranked 16th in the world rankings, had three break points, three aces and the same number of double faults. Previously the score in their personal meetings was 1:1.
The Chicago Fall Tennis Classic title is the ninth of Muguruza’s career and brought her $68,570 in prize money and 470 ranking points.
